Variegated English Ivy — Hedera helix

Variegated English Ivy (Hedera helix) is one of those plants that does exactly what you want in a bioactive terrarium without being asked twice. Those classic lobed leaves with crisp white margins trail, climb, and weave through a vivarium build with natural ease — covering ground, creeping up cork bark, and filling in the spaces between hardscape like it was always part of the plan.

The white-edged variegation adds genuine visual contrast to a terrarium build — a nice counterpoint to the solid greens of moss and other foliage. It clings and trails in roughly equal measure, making it useful as both a groundcover and a background climber depending on what your build needs. Give it something to attach to and it will find its way there.

Ships in a 2–3" pot, rooted and already looking for something to climb.
