Bromeliad (Medium - 6 inch pot)
Notice: Thank you for your patience. I am away for a short time and will resume shipping orders on November 15. I appreciate your understanding.
Built like a tropical starburst. Stiff, strappy leaves radiate out from a central cup, wide open and a little bit smug about it.
That center cup isn't just for looks — in the wild it collects rainwater, and in a vivarium it does the same job, becoming a tiny natural drinking pool. Dart frog keepers know exactly what I'm talking about.
Care: Bright, indirect light. Keep the central cup filled with water and change it every week or two so it doesn't get stagnant. Otherwise let the roots (there aren't many — this one barely needs soil) dry between waterings.
In a terrarium or vivarium build: A classic centerpiece plant for bioactive builds, especially anything housing dart frogs — the cup does double duty as decor and water source.
What you get: One bromeliad, potted in sphagnum moss.
