New arrival at Indoor Biosphere, and this one is genuinely exciting — meet Variegated Swedish Ivy, aka Plectranthus forsteri 'Marginatus', aka the plant I've been shoving into every available hanging spot in my greenhouse because it refuses to look bad.
Those white-edged leaves. The fast growth. The complete lack of attitude. I have a soft spot for plants that do exactly what they're supposed to do without requiring a PhD in horticulture, and this one delivers every time.
Here's the quick rundown:
- Light: Bright indirect. The variegation stays boldest here, though it'll tolerate lower light without throwing a fit.
- Water: When the top inch of soil dries out. It's more "I'm a little thirsty" than "dramatic wilt of death."
- Humidity: Average household humidity is perfectly fine. No fog machine required.
This is an excellent plant for beginners, for people who want a full trailing effect without waiting three years, and for anyone who's been burned by high-maintenance plants and needs a win.
I've got a small batch available now — each one ships in a 2–3" pot, rooted and already doing its trailing thing.
